The Cards of Light have interesting mathematical correlations to our calendar. They emerged as a tool for making calculations in predicting the rotations and timings of the Planets and their special events.

• There are 365 days in a year, the Joker representing the 365th day
• There are 52 weeks in a year
  
• Numerologically, 5+2 equals 7, the number of Spirit
  
• There are 7 days in a week and 7 visible planets
  
• When 365 days in a year are divided by 7 weeks the ancients determined the 52 cycles we call weeks (the Aztecs had a similar system but used 52 reeds)
  
• There are 4 suits of 13 cards each equaling 52 cards
  
• There are 13 cards in each suit representing 13 weeks per season
  
• There are 13 lunar cycles each year
  
• Counting all spots on each card per suit equals 91 spots (Jacks = 11, Queens = 12, Kings = 13)
  
• Each season has 91 days
  
• There are 4 seasons each containing 91 days
  
• All 4 seasons of 91 days added together = 364 plus 1 for the Joker Day
